One of the major festivals of India, Holi is celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety on the full moon dayin the month of Phalgun which is the month of March as per the Gregorian calendar. Holi festival may be celebrated with various names and people of different states might be following different traditions. But, what makes Holi so unique and special is the spirit of it which remains the same throughout the country and even across the globe, wherever it is celebrated.
As it is known byall that Holi is the only festival for which majority of the peoples eagerly waits for its arrival. On the auspicious occasion of the holi festival we students and faculties enjoys a lot on spraying colour and colourful water on each other.
Our College management announced the Holi celebration at college premises, on 20-3-2019 and asked all students to come to college for celebrating this festival at 11:30 AM. The celebration arranged at college amphitheatre. We also arranged DJ on that day. The entire celebration went for two hour and all of us have enjoyed it a lot. Dates and popcorn are distributed to all students and staff members during celebration.
World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on the 5th of June every year, and is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. First held in 1974, it has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marine pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. WED has grown to become a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually. Each year, WED has a new theme that major corporations, NGOs, communities, governments and celebrities worldwide adopt to advocate environmental causes
On this world environment day our college sigma Institute of Engineering has also organized the program of Plantation, in that program our Managing trustee Harsh Bhai Shah (Managing trustee, Sigma Group of Institutes) took initiative and did the plantation as well as emphasize the students and faculty members for same. We have planted more than 50 trees. Altogether 91 students and 63 faculty members participated in The World Environment Day programme at Bakrol Campus
Shreyaben Shah (Joint Managing Trustee at Sigma Group Of Institutes) interacted with Students and explained about conserving the environment by changing their habits for example, using bicycles for short distances, public transport for daily commuting to offices, reducing food waste, saving energy at home and offices by switching of lights and AC’s when not in use and using water efficiently.
International Yoga Day was celebrated at Sigma Campus in Collaboration with Arogyabharti(a sister concern of RSS), Morarji Desai Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences. The Programme was divided into three Phases.

Following six students of Morarji Desai Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Science demonstrated the different Aasans of Yoga.
All the Staff and Students of Sigma Group of Institutes i.e. Sigma Institute of Engineering, Sigma Institute of Technology & Engineering (Polytechnic), Sigma Institute of Physiotherapy, Sigma Institute of Nursing, Sigma Institute of Management Studies and Sigma Institute of Pharmacy actively participated in International Yog Day Celebration.
